  Cloth diapering is a great way to save money and do your part to help the environment. While there is an initial up front cost, it quickly adds to savings, especially if having more than one child. The decision to cloth diaper comes with a lot of decisions, what type of diaper to purchase, what type of inserts, how to wash, etc, etc. . .

  While you might be tempted to bring everything under the sun and think more about baby's needs, the hospital bag needs more items for mommy than baby. Many of the supplies needed for baby are given during the hospital stay...

With many of us still in college, it became hard to do a lot of planning for a baby shower. As a matter of fact, I purchased most of the items two days before the shower! Yikes...

 Preparing for a newborn can be daunting. A new bundle of joy is coming home soon, but many new parents find themselves stuck at what exactly is needed . . . 

H ave you tried Facebook’s Marketplace to purchase new or used baby items? I have enjoyed purchasing several items at great prices. If you seek, you may just find it in Marketplace. Search by specific brand or product by placing it in the search bar of Marketplace. Narrow the location area by placing a specific area and the miles you are willing to travel. Some of the baby items I have scored is a Kiinde Gift Set, Baby Bullet, cloth diapers, diaper changing table, a child's bookshelf, a Dr. Seuss comforter set, and a highchair.  Don’t limit it to baby items, I have also purchased college textbooks and a gorgeous wedding dress with all accessories from Facebook Marketplace. Common everyday items like diapers, lotions, and clothing can be found easily. With the surge of individuals purchasing Amazon pallets, the chances of purchasing a new product for a reasonable price is high. Look on the left-hand side of Facebook and discover Marketplace today!

Walgreens has incredible photo options for all those special memories. At least twice a year, they run a sale of 75% off wall hangings. They often have a free 8 x 10 print and 10 cents prints off 100 or more 4 x 6.  I always seem to be caught off guard and wait to the last minute to submit my photos. There is an easy way to avoid the rush and be ahead of the offers. . . During a slow time or night alone, upload all the pictures you want to get printed. If you want enlarged pictures, make the enlargements or even photo gifts and save the projects.  When a sale is announced, it is already waiting for it to be added to the shopping cart. Grandparents always love nice 8 x 10s to proudly display, make it a Christmas or Mother’s Day gift, while taking advantage of the great offers. My love for the little red wagon inspired this Radio Flyer Wagon purchase. I wanted room for two for a toddler and infant. I opted for the collapsible wagon to easily store and a canopy to keep the rain and the sun at bay.  Baby started eating at four months old. He was a heavier baby and with returning to work, along with him needing more solids, I wanted to make the first baby foods he ate. . .

I must admit a bit of an obsession making homemade baby foods. If I still grew a garden, it would be perfect right now. Instead, I settle for fresh or frozen foods with no additives. On my quest to find a food blender, the Baby Bullet caught my eye, because . . .well, it’s cute! 

T he sound of crunchy leaves, the crisp air, the smell of a bonfire, hayrides, candy corn, Halloween, and all things pumpkin... these are a few favorites for the fall season . . .

I t may seem like the suds won't stop with all the handwashing of baby's dishes. If you're like me, I just can't do a dishwasher for baby's items. This may be a different wash routine than others, but this is what I feel cleans best. Who knows, it may be overkill. . .  . 

N eed breast milk or a bottle warmed in a hurry, but safely, for fussy baby? Don’t want to warm milk in a microwave or wait and wait for it to slowly sit in hot water bath? A bottle warmer may just be the answer!

A lthough mostly breastfeeding, the need for bottles for other helpers was a must! The thought of having to purchase expensive bottles did not sit well. "Bottles are bottles," right? To fit my theory, I purchased cheap $1 baby bottles from Wal-Mart. Then the baby came . . . 

L eaking, leaking, and more leaking. Part of the "joy" of a breastfed baby. If you want a way to save $$$, while also helping the environment - and to catch your leaks . . . an easy solution is making comfy, reusable nursing pads. . . 

T o help prevent the Haakaa from tipping over while transitioning to the other breast or while grabbing a breastfeeding storage bag . . .

T he old saying, "Don't cry over spilled milk" has new meaning to breastfeeding MooMas' who work hard to feed babies. Exhaustion, frazzled minds, raging hormones, and a crying baby can lead to much frustration. Then to see precious milk dripping hurts the soul . . . 

  Spit up! Lots of it. Babies need an abundance of burp cloths to combat all that spit up. They seem to be everywhere in the house, one in the living room, another in the kitchen, and another in the bedroom. They need to be close enough to grab in a moment’s notice. Having a supply 20 or more burp clothes stockpiled is a great start. If you have a sewing machine, making burp clothes, for a sweet personalized touch can be accomplished easily. 

  Did you receive a wash basin from the hospital? Don’t toss it out just yet! There are several great usages for the basin. When baby is still tiny, continue using it as a small bath. After baby grows out, use the basin to soak dirty clothes or wash babies’ bottles in it. I have found that after breast pumping, it is excellent to place in the freezer and hold frozen storage bags to have when needed. Because we use the Baby Bullet to make homemade baby food, we also place the containers in the wash basin, keeping it organized and all together.
